Each flower begins as folded sheets of tissue paper before expanding into blooms that resemble hydrangeas or pom-pom flowers. Grouped in different sizes and colors, the finished display works as seasonal wall décor, a party backdrop, or a statement feature above a console table.

Tissue Paper Replaced Traditional Craft Supplies

She started with one of the least expensive materials found in a craft store. Tissue paper, scissors, twine, and painter’s tape replace specialty floral supplies, while each stack of paper becomes the foundation for a single oversized bloom.

The material list also keeps the project flexible. Different paper colors, sizes, and layer counts produce flowers with distinct shapes instead of repeating the same design across the wall.

Folding Creates the Shape Before the Flower Exists

Each tissue paper stack begins as a flat rectangle before accordion folds compress the sheets into a narrow strip. Those repeated folds determine the spacing and volume of every petal once the paper opens.
