Family Apartment in St. Petersburg by DA Bureau Integrates Modern Design and Personal History

The 150 m² V8 apartment in St. Petersburg was redesigned by DA Bureau for a couple with three children, balancing functionality and comfort. A key element of the project was incorporating the family’s grand piano, a treasured heirloom, into the main living area without compromising the modern aesthetic.

The layout is divided into two zones: a spacious public area with a kitchen-living room for gatherings, and private spaces for bedrooms and bathrooms. A multifunctional wooden core acts as a central organizing block, housing a guest bathroom, wardrobe, and part of the kitchen, while improving circulation and zoning.

The interior blends St. Petersburg’s intellectual charm with contemporary minimalism, pairing warm wood with stainless steel surfaces and combining vintage and modern art. Bold accents, including a striking red lounge chair and curated artwork, bring vibrancy to the otherwise neutral palette, creating a home that reflects both personal history and modern living.
