Caroline Andrusko Arquitetos redesigned this 1,500 m² Miami residence for a Brazilian couple with four children, turning it into a warm and contemporary retreat that reflects their roots.

The original approved plans were set aside in favor of a full architectural and interior overhaul, adapting the home to the family’s lifestyle while respecting local restrictions on windows, roofing, and exterior materials. The result is a Contemporary Farmhouse with reorganized layouts for better flow, generous social areas, and a harmonious connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Wood paneling, marble surfaces, and natural textures define the interiors, blending the rustic elegance of the farmhouse style with contemporary Brazilian design. Custom cabinetry by Florense, designer furniture from Artefacto, and rugs by Botteh create a refined yet inviting atmosphere.

Lighting, developed with Alma Light and featuring Flos fixtures, was carefully planned despite fire safety limitations, achieving warm and precise illumination throughout. Highlights include the dining room’s sculptural Luce Orizzontale pendant and a multifunctional office-library that combines work, leisure, and family memorabilia.

The home’s spaces were designed for both daily life and entertaining. The left wing hosts the kitchen, formal lounge, and gourmet area, while the right wing offers a cinema, game room, gym, and guest suite. Upstairs, the master suite occupies an entire wing, with four additional suites on the opposite side.

Completed in late 2024 after two years of execution, the project stands as an elegant and deeply personal home that unites Brazilian warmth with Miami’s contemporary living.
